About me

Welcome everybody.

I am a scientist, science communicator, teacher and musician. At the moment I split my time between research and creating opportunities to get out of the lab and engage everybody in the wider debate about the place of science in society.

For a more or less up-to-date CV you can look on LinkedIn, then try Google Scholar for a list of my publications and for the full story have a look round my website.

In brief:

I am currently a Post Doctoral Outreach Research Fellow working in the Cognition Institute (Plymouth University).

I have a track record of scientific research, interdisciplinary collaboration and engaging with a wide cross section of people. I have worked extensively in public, in the media, and in schools. I am passionate about the importance of engaging people, including young people, with science and engineering and try my best to be entertaining!
